What an amazing face-to-face moment of a lifetime to have captured. Even though Heidi may be a big dog, it still gives one the perspective of how tiny the fawn is. Great shot!!!

Eli, thanks for your kind words. Yes, both walked away just fine. We believe the fawn thought our dog was the mother and just headed right for the dog. Great moment, they don't come much better than that, especially when you've got your camera along.
