The top fragment of this marker stone was located buried beneath the soil in the southwest corner of the cemetery.
Notice how little it has aged compared to the uprighted portion of the stone which has been subjected to the usual
weathering plus bird dropping from the recently planted pine trees. Covering trees also prevent the rains from
washing away the bird droppings and the sun from oxidizing fungal growth.
