Thank you, Tim. This is an expression of protection and safekeeping for me. As your finding from Phil's comments and your own assessments, I love zeroing in on the beauty that surrounds me, expressing my rather optimistic view of life. I'm pleased that you and I share the same aesthetic.
In the past six months I have trying to deepen my understanding of photography as an art and as such have been reading the writings of Galen Rowell, Minor White, and Steiglitz - Steiglitz discusses a concept he calls "equivalence" which I am only beginning to understand - but I think it is the idea of having images represent more than what they are recordings of - here, I think you have done that - this is a powerful image.
