I, too, have not been a fan of lensbaby for the reasons Phil mentioned, but this image might have changed my view, so to speak. I have been exploring motion in images and I think the combination of focus and motion makes this a dramatic image.

It's like he is shooting fireballs...a very dynamic image..

The last sentence of my comment should have read: The diffusion caused here by the Lensbaby creates this dynamic, and makes the image expressive and energetic. Sorry.

As you know, I am a purist, and find images based on effect rather than content to be contrived and gimmicky. Most of the images I have seen made with the Lensbaby fall into this category. However in this case, I find the opposite is true. Content drives the form here -- the image about electrification and this man seems to be doing more than hanging lights, he is electrifying the image as well. The diffusion caused here by the Lensbaby creates this diffusion, and makes the image expressive and energetic.

The blur really gives this a dynamism...intriguing image!

This is awesome! How did you do that treatment? Well done!!!! Just a lensbaby thing?

This guys makes me feel uncomfortable. Maybe it has to do with the hood, his body position, or the trees "in fire", but I find the image threatening... which proves that you succeeded!
