A wonderful 40 degree warm up today from earlier this week got me out the door with cameras in hand. I went to an abandoned salvage yard that was owned when I was a child by my Uncle. I was taken on a tour of the place by his two great grandsons, Creed and Zayne. Their grandfather ran this business for many years also. I set Creed up with a Canon body and lens and he went to work like a pro. At one point Zayne pointed to a falling apart desk and said "I believe my grandfather used to work there". They found toy soldiers and trucks and many item I could not identify. I found many memories. Even though many years abandoned, this place holds many treasures still.
Here are a few photographs from a new photography buff, 10 year old Creed, who said to me at the end of the day, "I want you to come back REAL soon. I will be scouting out some good places for us"
I hope I can get back REAL soon.
Creed talked his younger brother, Zayne into crawling underneath a grain truck to look up at him...and he did it!
