The Upper Viaduct

On the arched bridge situated at the highest point of the sinous road structure that climbs the park´s hillside, Gaudí carries out a new type of roof, based on a network of rectilineal ribs. The predominance of local stone an aloes (a plant from semidesert climate) creates an arid environment.
The upper viaduct has the most complex layout of all the arcaded stretches in Park Güell, given that added to the triple row of columns is a more tangled composition of the route that goes above it, with some flowerplots of palm tree shape and rustic benches adapted to the railing structure.

Gaudí's architecture is second to none. This looks freakishly delicate.
