20050712 Phone Boxes

Lechlade, Gloucestershire

I'm painfully aware of the lack of colour in my PAD galleries. Maybe it's a sign of being really boring, or maybe I'm such a naturally colourful individual that I don't need any extra!

Either way, here, despite the best efforts of BT (British Telecommunications plc) to destroy them, is a couple of old style red telephone boxes.

Thank heavens some things never change...all ours are long gone. Chain yourself to them if you have to. Great crop, John.

Nice shot, we still have a lot in Edinburgh, I think the ones that are left are classed as listed due to the areas they are in and the new boxes would look out of place,

Colour is subjective . . . like the looks of these two old boxes

I like the angle. To destroy them would be awful; they are collector's items.

There are still some in my local villages - shhh don't tell BT!

Original angle. And to destroy them is a crime !
