Seven years after buying the CB400F it was clear that the timing chain would need attention. A quick chat to Jason at David Silver Spares provided me with David Parker's telephone number close to David Silver's premises and although Leiston is 120 miles away from where I live Mr Parker sounded knowledgeable on the telephone so my brother and I drove the CB400F very gingerly to David's premises. Three months later and for a very reasonable cost for an engine out overhaul of worn parts (primary Hi-Vo chain and timing chain and tensioner were the main items)we picked up the bike and straightaway rode it home where it sat outside the house gently ticking over even more quietly than when it was cold. Says a lot for Honda build quality, the quality of David Silver's spare parts and David Parker's workmanship.
