I often take pictures of things that have very little apparent artistic beauty. This is a good example of that. This is simply a tree in a corn field. (Nice clouds though). This is a kind of scene we all pass up every day and pay no attention to it. Why I stopped, I have no idea. Yet it’s a kind of interesting picture. I like the simplicity of it. The colors are among my favorite combinations. And the question that keeps coming back to me is, “why the tree in a field of corn?”.
I did do some work on this and used a Midnight Blue action to get the effect I wanted.
I can’t post this without mentioning the weather. (It seems I’ve become obsessed by it). This photo was taken when the temperature was about 85 deg (F). Today, at 1 pm, the temperature is -6 with a wind chill of -21. I’ve seen it colder, but I still don’t like it. The up-side is that when the temps climb back into the teens, it’ll feel really nice out.
