Bowerman's Nose is about a mile from Hound Tor. If you haven't visited Dartmoor before, then one of the best places to start your exploration
of the National Park by car is here at Hound Tor. (Most easily accessed from Bovey Tracey on reasonably good roads.)
Hound Tor itself is very easy to walk to and you'll get a great introduction into the fantastic
granite rocks which abound up here. You may even encounter people doing rock climbing...
