First roast

Nix photographical, this is here to commemorate my first go at roasting coffee. Monsooned Malabar taken to the beginning of second crack, mainly to see & hear what happens.

I don't care if it tastes like goat turds, it's worth it for the wondrous smell pervading the house. Reminds me of S.D. Bell's in Norn Iron when we were kids.

Looks good. I bet it smells good roasting too. Now, how does it taste? Let us know when you drink it.

You crack me up, John! I certainly hope they tasted better than your description - but in any case a wonderful aroma is sometimes worth more than a short-lived one-time good taste. ;)

Used to take care of the freight elevator in a coffee-roasting place in SF. Hated having to sweep up the piles of spilled coffee beans out of the pit, but loved the smell when I walked into the place. ;-)

And I thought that opening a can of coffee grounds for the first time smelled great. I bet your fresh grind is over the top on stimulating the brain.
