About 11:00 this morning I asked Ginny what she would like to have for lunch. I was ready to do some cooking. To my surprise, she said she wanted to go to Sonic. The main reason was that she had a coupon. Ginny has coupons for about everything you can imagine. Anyway, I said sure, and we headed out to get some chow from Sonic. We returned home and enjoyed a nice lunch. Sometimes I have to wonder, though, how often they change the oil in their fryers.

The great thing about well used oil is that your onion rings have the delicate flavors of fish and french fries added in. Sort of a free surprise. Dang, it doesn't get much better than that.

john, not changing the oil gives it that "old time" flavor. by the way, i find it cool that a man who loves airplanes, got to marry a woman named after a type of one...:O)

What, you are supposed to change the oil in a fryer ? are you sure ?

I hear that the oil is changed during "the annual," whether it it needs to be changed or not. Safety first!
