Day Twenty Nine

Finally, we get some nice weather. It was a busy day. We started out with a hike to Falling Water Cascade. It was about 1.4 miles with the obligatory ups and downs. Not many people were out on the trail. Next stop was Peaks of Otter. We hiked around the lake then decided to have some lunch.

The next objective was Johnson Farm which was about a mile loop. After that Ginny spotted the sign to Balance Rock and decided that we should go there. It was a 1.4 mile round trip. I was not too happy about it because we had not planned on it and didn't even know what the stupid rock looked like. We got to some rocks which Ginny thought included Balance Rock. I didn't think so and we kept on hiking. Finally, a sign appeared pointing to Balance Rock. We stopped and I took lots of photos of Ginny with the rock. Today's photo is one of them.

Yes, it is natural.
Don't know if it is a glacial
erratic or just a lucky
rolling stone.

Nice photo, John. Is that rock placement natural ?
