Day Twenty Eight

We left Shenandoah National Park and started down the Blue Ridge Parkway. Our schedule is rather leisurely. We are going to spend six days on the parkway. Today the weather worsened and the remnants of Hurricane Michael came through. There were times of torrential rain and some winds. So we decided to use Plan B which is Plan A with rain gear. We stopped at Humpback Rocks Visitor Center and farm museum. It was somewhat interesting. There were buildings which had been relocated from other places and used to reconstruct a farm from the 19th century. Being off season it wasn't manned. So we wandered around and took photos.

One objective was yet another waterfall. This time it was Crabtree Falls which is off the Parkway in a State Park. When we arrived at the site, it was pouring rain. We opened the back hatch which provided some relief from the rain and proceeded to put on rain gear. It was only a few hundred feet to the falls so we were going to see it no matter what. I held the umbrella and Ginny snapped some photos. That is today's picture.
