Today was one of the events were came out to Oregon for. Our niece Becky was getting married. It turned out to be a fairly long day. We started with a visit to Ginny's mom who is in assisted living. She is 94 and still has most of her marbles. We enjoyed a nice visit then headed out to lunch with Ginny's aunt Alice. It was a fun time. Her son Mike is a great friend with whom we have done some neat stuff.
It was a hot day in Oregon, and the wedding was a late afternoon affair in a grove of trees at a tree farm. It was a good venue. The ceremony was interesting because Becky's brother officiated at the festivities. We asked how he got into that and he said some sort of official thing in Oregon and the internet. There was a buffet and there was beer and wine. Great combination.
