Day Fifteen
Today it was a drive down the coast to Lincoln City to visit Ginny's college friend Sue and her husband Italo. The route is highway 101. Normally a very scenic drive, but the weather was very foggy. So much for stopping and staring at the coast line.
We have always stopped in Tillamook at the cheese factory. A few free samples and the purchase of several bags of cheese curds was the usual procedure. Of course, ice cream would find its way into the conversation. Anyway, they did a complete reconstruction of the visitor center which created a huge building. I have been stopping here for 45 years. In the past it was often busy, but you could get in and about without too much problem. Today the huge new structure was mobbed. You couldn't get near enything because of the people. We did a quick bathroom break, short look around the shop and then headed for the door. Not sure I will ever try that again.
