Things are moving rapidly along on the top overhaul of the Cessna. I had finished the engine and today I put back together the rest of the airplane. One of the chores I don't like is removing and installing the seats, but I got that done. When Bloke showed up we turned over the engine with the spark plugs removed to pump oil through the engine. I squirted oil into all the cylinders to smooth out the rings. The objective was to develop oil pressure. We tried half a dozen times, but no joy. You really need oil moving throughout the engine before starting it. The instructions from the cylinder manufacturer (Superior Air Parts) were clear about that. So we decided to give up for the day and do some thinking. Maybe we will get it tomorrow.
