New Orleans is a nice place to visit. We had most of the day to wander around before heading off to the wedding. We hit the Cafe du Monde for begniets which were good. Lots of powdered sugar! We also signed up for a walking tour which turned out to be very interesting. We ended up the touring with a visit to the 1850 House. The buildings flanking Jackson Square are mirror images of each other and were built by a very wealthy woman, Baroness Micaela Almonester de Pontalba, in the 1840s.
I was about all toured out. It was going to be a long evening with the wedding and reception. We headed back to the hotel for a bit then headed out to the wedding. The ceremony was nice and not too long. The reception was very nice. Everybody had a great time. The food was very good.
Today's photo is of Katie and Daniel Gitlin, the lead actors in today's drama.
