Project Day 69 - Exile Day 19 - The tile guys continued their work today. They have made a lot of progress, but there is a very long way to go. We found out that the cabinet installation is definitely going to start tomorrow. Ginny now has to figure out a way to make room for moving cabinets into the master bathroom. They will have to go through the master bedroom and make a turn. The bedroom is so crammed with stuff that it will be a challenge to make a path. This should be interesting.
As far as I am concerned, a cool thing happened today in my family photo scanning project. As I go through these things I strive to get dates and locations right. I have opined before about dates. The stuff I am working on now are packages of negatives and photos which have the dates on them from when they were developed. That works well. Locations are often another thing. I don't recognize many of them. But today serendipity came to the rescue. Today's photo is of me and my great aunt Nora. The area appears in several other photos from about that time. The house in the background was unknown to me, however. My sister didn't recognize it either. One of the photo packages I came across was a mail order addressed to my dad at an address I didn't recognize. I fired up google and went to street view and found this. That was the house in the photograph. How cool is that? Now I have filled in a piece of the history I didn't know. My folks lived in three different places during the years we were in Bloomington/Normal, Illinois. This can be kind of fun.
