Our photo course took us from Grand Tetons to Yellowstone. Unfortunately, the main road was blocked because of a forest fire. That meant we had to take the long way around. It was a pleasant ride and we finally entered the park through West Yellowstone. Our final destination was Mammoth Hot Springs. When we arrived there was a herd of about 30 elk hanging out. They were walking all over the place. Also pooping all over the place. So it goes. It was difficult to get a shot that didn't have cars or buildings in the background. So I decided that the elk sitting in front of the Visitor Center sign would have to do.
