Our last stop in Des Moines was the state museum. As far as state museums go, this one was pretty good. We spent a couple hours in there. I don't think there were another ten people viewing the exhibits. One thing I learned was that Iowa was quite a large coal producing state at one time. Who woulda thunk? On our way over to the museum we encountered this cool reflection of the capitol building.

After the museum we headed out to Jefferson City, Missouri, another state capitol to visit. We went to the Saturday evening mass then headed back to the hotel with a stop at Subway for some nice salads.
