We visited the Wisconsin state capitol in Madison today. It is a very stately structure. It is also in excellent repair. As with many state capitols we have visited, this one has undergone a lot of restoration to put it back the way it was when it was built. It is truly beautiful. Lots of marble and a very cool dome. We spent about 2 1/2 hours touring and taking photos. There were lots of school kids there on field trips. This is the time of year for that type of activity. The shape of this building is unusual. It is in the form of an X. The view you see here is looking at the end of one of the wings of the capitol. This is the 34th capitol we have visited. We have a bunch more on the list for this trip.
