Today was our last full day in Canada. We headed back toward St. John's after a few more photos in Trinity. The sun was out, so it was a good time to take pictures. Ginny took this one of a boat on the shore of Trinity Bay.

On the way back to St. John's we stopped in at Cupid's, a coastal town that was the site of the first full time British settlement (1610). I found it very interesting because not too long ago someone had carefully read the documentation and was able to locate the site of the very first building built. They have been excavating carefully for about 20 years, and they still have a lot of stuff to investigate. We got a very good tour of the site. I am not sure I have the patience to participate in the digging, but it sure is interesting to see all the stuff they have found.

We continued back to St. John's and went up Signal Hill one last time. This time it wasn't foggy, so we got a good view of the harbor and the town. Then it was off to the hotel and a session of photo processing for me and Scrapbook work for Ginny. We also, incidentally, finished off the last of our beer and wine. Gonny found a berry wine called Moose Joose which she really liked. Certainly not up to snuff if you are a wine snob, but good enough for us because we liked it. I guess we are both cheap dates.
