This was the last day with our Road Scholar tour group. We have really had a lot of fun and have learned lots of interesting stuff. There were 25 people in the group and we got to know everybody pretty well. It was a fairly long driving day. We returned to Deer Lake from St. Anthony. Along the way we stopped to see the thrombolites which are prehistoric colonies of bacteria. That was exciting. We also stopped at Arches Provincial Park. Guess where today's photo was taken.
After dinner we all got together for some entertainment. Everybody had to make some kind of presentation. There was poetry and recitations. Ginny made up words to the Gilligan's Island theme song which was very good. I did a Bob Newhart style comedy routine. It was a lot of fun. We hit the sack immediately afterward because we had to get up early for a flight to St. John's, NL, to continue our trip to Atlantic Canada.
