We had a leisurely day today. We headed out to Western Brook Pond in Gros Morne National Park for a nice hike to the pond, picnic lunch and boat ride on the pond. In keeping with the thought of the proper mood for western Newfoundland, it was cloudy and rainy all day long. We had a nice spot for lunch at the boat dock, and the two hour boat ride to the eastern end of the pond (they call it pond, it is really a lake) was scenic and enjoyable. With the overcast lighting conditions, it was hard to get any pictures with contrast. Today's shot was taken by Ginny off the stern of the boat as we turned around and departed the eastern end of the pond. I fiddled it a bit in Lightroom. We returned to the hotel for a nice cod dinner. We were happy to hit the sack a bit early.
