When we arrived at Juneau this morning we took the shuttle to our hotel and got settled in. About 9:15 we were picked up by our friends Leo and Llewellen who are residents of Juneau. We me them on a three week river cruise in Europe. Our first stop was Mendenhall glacier. We went to Juneau on our honeymoon 40 years ago, and I guess you could say this was our triumphal return. The weather was great for photography. We had a picnic lunch at the Shrine of St. Therese and then went around seeing stuff locally, ending up for a walk around one of the four boat docking areas of Juneau. It was tons of fun.
