Sometimes it takes me a while to get really going on things, especially things I don't much like to do. One of those things is repainting the struts and steps on the Cessna. It has to be done on the airplane. If I could get the struts off the airplane it would be a simple matter. Additionally, painting is one of the least desirable things I have to do as a mechanic. I fiddled around today playing with a spray gun trying to figure out how to minimize over spray and I think I have it down. So, the last of the crutches have been kicked and I just have to get it done.

Yeah, except I wanted a nice smooth paint surface, no brush marks.

John, for such a small job I would have used a paintbrush.
Must be quicker and easier.
