We traveled through Yellowstone National Park today with stops at West Thumb Geyser Basin and Old Faithful (of course). The place was mobbed. I always find the geysers and pools very interesting. We did a little hiking around the Old Faithful area up to Morning Glory Pool. While we were heading to the west entrance to make our exit, we got caught in two critter jams, one for a single buffalo and another for two elk. That wasted about an hour of time stalled in traffic. I was amazed at how many foreign visitors were in the park. I guess that Yellowstone is pretty much an iconic destination for foreign travelers. It is not an easy place to get to, so I have to admire their determination to include it on their US itinerary. Anyway, this photo today is of one of the pools at West Thumb. Again, we got lucky with nice sun and sky.
