Ginny and I were at the store today buying some sort of crap. As we got into the car to leave I spotted an airplane appraoching from the direction of Ellington Field. The head on profile of a B-17 is unmistakable. So I scrambled to get my G-11 out and take a picture. I didn't have time to really look at the settings, I just started shooting. I have to tell you that there is nothing even close to the coolness of the sound of four round engines passing overhead.

Now you know why they have the green (Idiot) setting on cameras John.
I use mine quite a lot.
I can spot a good photo, pick up the camera and take five shots in a few seconds.
No time to set the camera like a real photographer.

I saw one - maybe this one - in Florida last February. How many are still flying ? Agree about the sound.
