24-AUG-2011 Lauren the wrangler

This was our last day at Glacier National Park. Ginny wanted to have a horse ride so we booked an all day affair that went up to Cracker Lake for lunch. I have been on a horse only once before. I have to say that six hours in the saddle were a little hard to take, but the scenery was real nice. We saw a moose on the trail within about 50 feet, which was a nice bonus. Our lunch was on a rock overlooking the lake, a terrific place to sit and watch. All in all, it was a lot of fun; however, we were both a bit sore after the escapade. If we ever ride horses again, I would opt for the half day trip.

Don't know much about horses. I would imagine they had to be pretty stout if they were going to be carrying the likes of me for six hours.

Ginny likes riding. I have to let you know that as a Texan I am completely comfortable in a pick up truck.

Ginny looks completely at home though.
