I have been in training classes all this week at Lewis and Clark National Historic Park. Today, fortunately, we got out of the meeting room and went hiking around the park. It was a lot of fun, and the weather decided to be cooperative. Our leader for part of the hike was Carla (wearing the Wellies), the director of natural resources. She is very knowledgeable about all the plants and animals. Her passion is restoring the park to its natural state. She is also a real aggressive invasive species eradicator. In the afternoon, we had some historical lectures about the area as we walked back to the Visitor Center. This was a lot of fun.

Let's hope she doesn't see people from the other side of the Rockies as invasive.
