December 12, 2009

Today was the annual winter festival thing in the neighborhood. They bring in some snow and spread it out on a hill in the park. The youngsters go nuts and really have a great time. You can see in the photo that there is a fog over the snow. The weather today is very high humidity, and the area above the snow is sufficiently cold to cause a fog. Ginny and I didn't partake in the snow fun, but we did partake in the free food fun.

Michigan will do anything and I mean ANYTHING to make money--even sell snow to Texas.
Nice photo, btw, John. Looks like a lot of fun. What was the actual temp?
I see they're all wearing coats.

My understanding is that it is mailed in parcel post fixed rate boxes direct from the tundra of Michigan. Maybe Larry knows the details.

Where does the snow come from. Michigan.
I hear they got lots to spare.
