Late tonight I heard the mumble of voices across the road from me. Two guys were sitting at a picnic table chatting and enjoying an adult beverage and some chips. This is a very pleasant thing to do. I have done it many times. I decided I would like to capture the moment and whipped out my 5D Mk2 and 100-400 lens to see if I could get an image. Pushed the ISO to 6400 wide open and shot 1/4 second hand held. This is what I got. Yeah, not very good quality, but I did get something in terrible conditions.

Good work! This excellent documentation seems to confirm that adult beverages were present during the event. With additional training, you will be able to satisfactorily hand-hold up to 7.1 minutes.

This really needed a comparison shot with your previous Canon body to see if it is a huge increase in performance or just a little bit, or none at all.
Or, a really horrible thought, worse.

Not bad at all for hand holding that big lens at 1/4 second!
This looks like a meeting of bad guys from the X-Files series.
