Running for home.

Taiaroa Head, Otago Peninsula. view map

The waters off the Otago coast are rich fishing grounds.
These resources are now at risk as our government is going to allow oil companies to drill deep water oil wells in the Southern Ocean, much to the disgust of the people.

a smart boat in well detailed water.....I am sure our classic economic governments will stop doing silly expensive things if there is a drop in demand for energy by, well, us

a bracing scene...governments can be ruthless in their pursuit of new revenue streams, even if it means continuing with the relentless assault of the health of the oceans..

Excellent capture!

Love the clarity on the boat as it makes it way through that wide expanse of sea. Wonderful capture. V.

Nice shot of this trawler in choppy water.
