I got one small flower from the bare root sorbet peony I ordered from Spring Hill this year, but it was a solid deep rose. Doesn't look at all like the photos. Do you think I got the wrong one or are some of your blooms without the white frill?

I have had mine for four years, and it didn't flower the first year. In fact, neighborhood kids ran their bikes into my yard and broke it before it got a chance to grow. Thankfully, the next year it took off and flowered beautifully. This year, the stems are bent over because it has so many large flowers. I'm moving to Florida and will leave this behind, but will plant another one at my new house.

beautiful peony. I just ordered one from spring hill. I wonder if it flowers the first year and how big it will get. I hope mine gets as nice as yours.
