In my opinion the Rocky Mountains from Waterton Lakes National Park up through Banff and Jasper offer some of the most beautiful mountain scenery in North America.
Driving the Icefields Parkway I sometimes find myself laughing at just how many gorgeous views are to be seen right from the road.
Mountain peaks reflected in tourquoise glacial fed lakes, glaciers reaching down to the valleys below, beautiful rivers carving deep limestone canyons, and plunging over spectacular waterfalls.
That's to say nothing of the abundant wildlife, beautiful flowers, and verdant forests.
