Rock Dove at Harns Marsh Preseve
Lehigh Acres, Florida USA

This was the second occasion I've seen the pigeon and the first time I've photographed it
outside of its urban range. I captured eleven of the birds as they approached me in a frame.
I can't say exactly how many were in the flock. I believe I was not able to capture them all
in their approach and therefore couldn't get an accurate count from the images taken.
I'm at odds now with the advice of Artie Morris, whom I attribute to this mistake.

Artie recommends not photographing a bird beyond its passing of you. For the reason above,
I disagree with Mr. Morris, and as a rule, recommend you take every shot you're inclined to make.

Note the band on the bird's leg.
