Mysterious Mount Erie
Shooting from atop Blanchard Mountain (~1,150 feet above sea level) looking west toward the Olympic Mountains I was enthralled by the clouds in the upper atmosphere moving about allowing streams of sunlight to peak through and illuminate the tops of the fog bank out over the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Not to mention the steam clouds from the Anacortes refineries billowing upward in front of Mount Erie. It was a constantly changing scene and a thrill to be on this little perch to watch and photograph for about 2 1/2 hours.
