I also sent some time here when Grace first purchased it. Grace and Packy were the greatest people with no airs what so ever.

What a great place. I spent the summer here right after Grace purchased it and helped with the construction to the school. Aunt Dorothy was a trip. These are among my fondest memories.

This is so sad! What a beautiful mansion.

I agree! There is so much wealth and it would take nothing from them to help save some historically significant mansions instead we see the kids blowing their $ on champagne and designer clothes globetrotting which is all good and well but I wish they could throw some of their $ towards these treasures too !! Like near Chicago the Cuneo mansion is beautiful and kept in such a wonderful state ....love that place!!

very sad how our American Mansions are being lost due to neglect or fires. such a glamorous part of our country's history to be erased has my pity.

Wow, it'll cost a bundle to repair that! Sad that such a grandiose home burned like that.
