This spring, I have joined Team in Training, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's endurance event training/fundraising program. Team members choose the sponsored event of their choice-- there are many marathons, bicycle century rides, and triathlons from which to choose--and are provided with a comprehensive training program designed to prepare them for their event. My event is America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride- a century ride at Lake Tahoe on June 5th, 2011. We have a great team and we have a lot of fun on our training rides. Team members do fundraising that supports the research, patient support, and financial assistance that the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society provides. My goal is $3500 and I'm about halfway there.
