Trillium Festival 2006

A few shots at the 2006 Trillium Festival at Tryon Creek State Park, Oregon, USA. These were intended as a quick test of my new 18-200 lens on my new D200! I know I would have gotten better shots with my 70-200 possibly attaching the Canon 500D to it for close-ups, but I wanted to try the new 'walk-about' lens. Overall, I am very happy with it. It lets me go for a hike with just the camera and a fairly light lens attached, yet have the (35mm) equivalent of a 27-300 lens, with VR.

Camera Settings were: ISO 400; Sharpness +2; Color Mode III; Saturation +; JPEG Large-Normal; Optimal Quality. All are hand held, and I admit, most should have a little more depth of field, and have been a little more underexposed to preserve the whites.

We were mainly there for their annual native plant sale! Picked up a good number, including a nice trillium! So, while the photos are not the best I could have done, I think they show what can be don with this lens, when you are mainly into other things!
