After this morning's landing and zodiac cruise at Cuverville Island, we head to Andvord Bay. It is a 15 mile-long fjord that cuts east into the Antarctic Peninsula. The plan is to make a landing on the Peninsula at Neko Harbor. However, it turns out that there is way to much ice this early in the season this year to make it all the way in to Neko Harbor, so we again go on a zodiac cruise, looking at icebergs and keeping a watch for seals on the ice. While doing so, one of the zodiacs finds a small beach on the peninsula where we can briefly land, so we all do get to briefly stand on the actual Antarctic Peninsula here!
