Illinois May 2015

I make the trip to my home town of Atlanta, IL as often as I can over the Memorial Day weekend to attend the annual high school alumni banquet and Memorial Day celebration. This year the journey was especially satisfying because I was able to go to the Cahokia Mounds historical site which was the heart of the mound building Mississippian Indian culture. Also I went to my cousin Jan Brandt's Art Gallery in Bloomington, IL where I saw cousins I hadn't seen in years. My twin brother, Gene, was the main speaker at the Memorial Day celebration. All in all, a most successful trip.

My family is also from Atlanta Illinois, how far back have you traced your lineage? My dad was Clifford Wayne son of Clifford Harry, who was son of Clifford Von. Who was son of Thomas J who was son of Roland which brought me here, He was born in Little Carlton England.
