In the spring of 2010 I began to return to observational astronomy.
My short list of builders is very short. Mike Zammit started
to breath new life into his scope building company, StarStructure.
The timing was perfect and given my prior experience with Mike the
decision was easy.

That kind of set the bar high for the optics. Funny enough this was easy
to decide too! Carl Zambuto was fantastic to work with. It was obvious he loved
his work. He built the 18" f/4.3 Primary mirror.

Interestingly enough when I would pose similar questions to each of them
the answers matched. Go figure. In late September the mirror was ready, and
Mike was building my scope along with two other 16" Scopes.
