The Shire, Hobbiton, Middle Earth

This is 'Middle-earth' on private farmland near Matamata in the North Island of New Zealand, where the Hobbiton Movie Set from 'The Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit' film trilogy was filmed
The set has been completely rebuilt and can be seen as it appeared in the films.

this really is a great image....the light on the trees and all the little details like the ladder and the clothesline... the imagination shot..of the forts that you want to build as kids.
