Natural Abstract

Sept 2012 Challenge - Abstracts

Between the 2 beaches where I live, when the tide is out,
there is a small patch of orange and grey squirly stone, with a piece of tree trunk imbedded in it.
It looks like the ground has melted and set with the tree in it.
I have no idea what caused it.
I don't think we had a volcano here.
Even though Auckland is built on about 49 extinct volcanoes...

Great textures and colour. It looks as if something has gone rusty in the ground and caused a stain.

At first, I thought the black thing was a flattened toad. We see a lot of that here. LOL This is an awesome find and excellent capture of many textures and colors. V

Interesting rocks with the tree trunk in them. It's like a future fossil. Super find and abstract.

OK, this is totally cool Janice! I think we just have sand beaches on the east coast of the US, not petrified rock! Cool!!!!!
