Getting Along
You know, sometimes I get tired of being the good
big brother and letting Della get away with everything.
She thinks she is so smart and so fast.
Look at her all proud and happy she took the stick away
from me...again.
It's a good thing Mom gives me some extra butt scratches
when Della is a pill.
Too bad for her! She just misses out on some extra loving.
Getting a Good Roll
I'm with you, my good friend.
Getting a good roll is just the best!
You should try it on a rocky, sandy beach.
I always hear Mom say "Oh Fenway, do you have
to do that?"
I just look at her and smile.
When we get in the car to go home Mom always
says, "The inside of this car looks like the beach."
What's the matter with that?
Keeping the Peace
Our friend Ryder is smitten with Della.
He's a big, goofy guy and Della does
enjoy running with him.
As you can see, he just wants to be
close to her.
So long as he is respectful (and he is)
it's not worth getting stressed about.
P.S. I hope you weren't too stressed out from
your bath.
About the Sticks
So look at this my friend.
You know how you can carry a big
stick and go jumping over logs
with the greatest of ease.
My brother Fenway can carry sticks
too but I can get them away from him
so easily.
Well, guess what. He came up with a
new trick all on his own. He can balance
little twigs on his nose!
The Importance of Friends
Here's Della and me, Fenway, with our good friend Marisol.
Della gets that "lovey" look in her eyes every time
she looks at her... and me, well I don't just let anybody put
their arm around me!
So remember my friend, while the man and the lady
of the house are the ones who feed you, having a good
friend is important too.
Don't worry Della, I'll bet Marisol will be back for a visit.
The Secret
Fenway is telling me a secret.
He said he heard our friend Marisol is
moving to someplace called Montana.
She can't go to Montana. Who will take
care of us when Mom and Dad go
away on vacation?
Oh dear, this is not good news.
I will miss her too much!
Happy Easter
Can you believe Fenway is still looking for chocolate
eggs when the ball is in the Easter Basket?
Who cares about the silly eggs. The foil doesn't
taste that great anyway. We have to get this ball
out of the basket!!!
Hope you have a Happy Easter my friend and the Easter
Bunny brought you some treats and toys.
You do know the difference between the Easter Bunny
and a squirrel, don't you?
Quick Stop
My dear friend. I want to make sure you have mastered
the art of stopping on a dime. This skill is very important
when playing with another dog. When you are running at top
speed you jam your front feet into the ground. This will
cause you to stop and send the other dog flying past you.
If you do this at the beach you have to be careful of the sand.
Also, don't try it with Della, she's too fast.
Aww...
Aww...that was such a nice photograph of you and the man.
Fenway likes to stand on our dad too.
Must be a guy thing.
Me, I'm all about the ball.
I don't like to stand still for too long.
Keeping an Eye on Things
We all went for a walk in the woods the other day.
Della kept running off to chase squirrels and chipmunks.
I hope she doesn't wake up any bears!
Mom kept wandering off to take pictures.
And me, I just kept a close eye on my Dad.
No, You're It
You know that game you play with your friends?
The "Bite, You're It" game.
Fenway and I play that game too.
Look who's just about to be it!
Jumping Log Discovered
Exciting news my friend!
Fenway and I discovered a jumping log in the woods.
At first I thought it might be your jumping log.
Fenway said "Don't be ridiculous, Baldr lives a long way from here."
I think he's just cranky because he can't jump as high as I can.
