Nagaoka Tenmangu Shrine

Nagaokakyo Tenmangu Shrine is the largest Shinto shrine in Nagaokakyo. If your wanting to visit, it's only about 3 minute walk West of Hankyu Nagaoka Tenjin Station and entry is free (unlike the more famous places in Kyoto).

This gallery is dedicated to Xiaobernard who sent me an email asking if I went to the lake in Nagaokakyo, after viewing my Nagaokakyo Walkabout 07/09/2008 gallery and looking around at the map.

So on the first bit of spare time I had after arriving back in Nagaokakyo I headed to the lake and found it was in the grounds of Nagaoka Tenmangu Shrine. Ever since then I've gone back there regularly, but I'm still sorting through all the photos!
