Jishou University serves dog in Hunan Province. Our neighbor at Jishou University was very cruel to her dog. When I put a jacket in the dog's cold and damp house, our neighbor removed the jacket. The dog was kept on a very short line and was not fed regularly or given water. We fed the beautiful dog and gave her love and compassion. When we left, the dog ran away looking for a better life in China....., which is not a great place to be for a dog on the loose!

hi,everyone. I am David and I am from this town.I really appreciate John took those photo about my city.I understand there are some difference between Chinese culture and Western culture. Especially when I arrive to Western country and then I realize there are some weakness and flaw about our own people. Maybe we eat dog and we treat the animal inhumanly. Anyway, I would love to build mutual understanding with everyone with question about John's photo. my MSN is: guoxtxt@hotmail.com

The dog is wet. It was much better off than other dogs I saw. It was not going to be eaten and I think it had a home. It was a cool day but the dog seemed ok. The dog was photographed in Jishou City, Hunan Province, China, in the winter of 2006.

I'm spanish and I don't know english very well, I'll try to say you my question, first the photography is very good but so sad, my question is what happened with the dog? in spanish era vagabundo? I'd like to know where you did the photography too, y me gustaría saber también donde hiciste la fotógrafía. Please, if you answer me I'm very grateful to you, si me contestaras te estaría muy agradecida. Muchas gracias, thank you so much.
