Colors of the Underground

Depending on the mineral composition, the colors of the underground can sometimes be spectacular. These pictures are all from very old drifts and adits, where the slow chemical processes have been in progress for a very long time. From an environmental protection point of view, these bright colors are probably not a very good sign, as colors typically means sulphide minerals = bad, bad, bad…
